Across East Africa, millions of people are facing famine. A climate-crisis-induced drought, coupled with regional and local conflict, impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, and soaring food prices tied to the war in Ukraine, is creating a dire situation. Over 20 million people across several East African nations, including Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan, are at risk of starvation. According to the World Food Programme (WFP), “A record 349 million people across 79 countries are facing acute food insecurity – up from 287 million in 2021. More than 900,000 people worldwide are fighting to survive in famine-like conditions.” In 2023, there will likely be insufficient food in the system, which will push global food prices higher. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine contributes to the rise in hunger, with less wealthy countries particularly vulnerable, including those in the Horn of Africa. We have created this fund to support weak, marginalized, and at-risk groups to prevent and address hunger and malnutrition, build resilience to current and future climate-related drought and food insecurity, and focus on longer-term solutions to help them recover. Haiti became the world’s first Black-led republic when it overthrew French colonial control in 1804. However, the country is regularly exposed to natural hazards and the effects of climate change and faces recurring socio-economic and political challenges. The roots of these challenges include France forcing Haiti to pay reparations which indebted future generations and hampered economic progress for decades. In 2022, 43% of the population needed humanitarian assistance. Gang violence has helped fuel displacement and restricts humanitarian access. We have created this fund to provide relief to survivors through emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine, in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents in Haiti recover and rebuild. SOS Children's Village Tryavna, established in 1993, is the first of its kind in Bulgaria. This year we celebrate its 30th anniversary. Build on plot of land of 25 000 square meters, the SOS Children’s village consists of cozy family houses for SOS foster families, and SOS Consulting Center Tryavna, which provides support to children and families at risk, living in difficult social conditions. The playgrounds on the territory of the SOS village are used not only by its inhabitants, but also by children and youths and their parents from the neighborhood. Currently, the SOS village has a sports field that is used for football, basketball, and volleyball. There are also children’s swings, climbing frames, and trains, along with benches for resting. To further develop the outdoor space with fitness equipment, SOS Children Villages Bulgaria aims to purchase and install: a device for rehabilitation of hands and feet, and a combined device for outdoor fitness. The total needed sum, including transportation costs and installation fee, amounts to approximately BGN 3,500.

Four people were killed and 28 others injured when a mass shooting broke out at a crowded Sweet 16 birthday party in rural Dadeville, Alabama, on Saturday night, authorities said. The recent mass shooting in Alabama has left many people devastated and heartbroken. However, in response to this tragedy, a fund has been set up to provide assistance and support to the families affected by this senseless act of violence. The fund has been established by Solidariedade Na Mokili, in partnership with other local organizations, and aims to provide financial assistance to the families of the victims, as well as to support the ongoing work of law enforcement in investigating and preventing such tragedies in the future. The fund has already received an outpouring of support from people all over the country who are looking for ways to help those affected by this tragedy. By donating to this fund, we can all play a part in supporting the victims and their families during this difficult time and in helping to prevent such tragedies from happening again in the future. Two powerful earthquakes, taking the lives of over 41,000 people, struck south-eastern Turkey near the Syrian border on Monday, February 6, 2023. The first quake, with a 7.8 magnitude, was centered near the city of Gaziantep, and the second quake hours later, with a magnitude of 7.5, hit Turkey's Elbistan district of Kahramanmaras province. Over 40 aftershocks, including Kahramanmaras, have occurred since the first quake. New Steps Foundation organizes five days summer camps, for families with special needs kids since 2015. Twenty two families are welcomed and taken care of in the Bulgarian Rhodope Mountains every year. In many cases, parents of children with disabilities are unable to take any time to rest. Our camps are organized in a way that would allow parents to have time for rest, training, fun, while a group of volunteers are taking care of their special needs’ children and their siblings. This is a unique time for those families and as many witnessed, and the place where they find hope and acceptance. By donating to this fund you will support running this 2023 summer camp.

This is a scholarship fund that is being created under the Queensbury Community Scholarship Association in Queensbury, NY. Its purpose is to provide grants and financial support to local area graduating students who wish to pursue further education is the areas of skilled trades. This scholarship program recognizes society's need for continued availability of skilled persons to provide quality services in the following areas: Industrial, skilled trades: These include jobs like welders, mechanics, machinists, tool and die makers, and even programmers. Construction skilled trades: Jobs in these sectors involve trades commonly seen in the construction sector, such as carpenters, bricklayers, insulators, electricians, plumbers, and gasfitters. Service skilled trades: These trades form a part of the service sector. These include nurses, orderlies, aides, therapists, and service technicians.

We are profoundly saddened by the devastating earthquakes near the Turkey / Syria border, resulting in significant loss of life and intensifying humanitarian needs in the region. As an organization committed to giving to those less fortunate than ourselves, we believe it is important to support entities that are providing humanitarian aid to those impacted by this natural disaster. AMG will match individual donations from AMG team members up to $100,000 in aggregate to the AMG Supporting the Victims of the Turkey / Syria Earthquake Fund, benefiting the five pre-vetted charitable organizations included in this fund, that are providing aid to those directly impacted by the earthquakes.

Residents of East Palestine, OH and surrounding areas are experiencing the impacts of the Norfolk Southern railroad derailment that took place on February 3, 2023. Residents were encouraged to evacuate, and air and water quality in the area is at risk. While residents have been permitted to return home, many are facing financial challenges as a result of this disaster. The following organizations are distributing food, clothing, and other crucial supplies to those impacted. Please note that the organizations included in this Fund are subject to change as we learn more about needs on the ground.

World Water Day, observed on March 22 of each year, raises awareness of the global water and sanitation crisis. Millions of people around the world go without access to safe and clean water sources each day, and several organizations are working tirelessly to make a change.
